This grinder has been through the complete Decodan process.  I have seen a few auctions that ask the question, "why buy a reconditioned grinder when you can get an original."  Well I would say it all depends on whether you are going to just look at it or USE it.  When you buy one of my reconditioned grinders you get both, a great looking and great working grinder.  The pictures below show the work that is done to one of the grinders I auction.

Here is what a customer had to say,

Buying from Dan is like buying from L.L. Bean. No surprises. Good stuff!

The Decodan Process

These pictures show a KitchenAid Coffee Grinder purchased on eBay.  Most of you would not have been happy when you received this grinder.  The seller failed to mention the grinder had been painted with a course paint brush, over dirt and grime.

Then you see the care taken with a grinder I recondition.  They are either completely stripped of the paint or wet sanded with 320 grit wet/dry paper.

The armature is either turned or polished as needed.  All electrical connections are checked and the switch and cord are soldered, not just twisted and taped.  All parts are cleaned and the motor is lubricated.  The burrs are set to give as fine a grind as possible without damaging the burrs.  New rubber feet and grommet are installed.
